Structured screening with people in control
ShortlistLens is designed to support a consistent first review, not to replace professional judgement or make final employment decisions.

1. Human oversight is required
ShortlistLens provides rankings, score breakdowns and CV evidence to help qualified recruiters review applications. A person must verify the evidence and make every interview, rejection and hiring decision.
2. Use job-related criteria only
Projects should use genuine role requirements such as relevant skills, experience, education and responsibilities. Do not use protected characteristics, inferred personal traits or information unrelated to the role as screening criteria.
3. Scores are decision support, not facts
Scores are generated from the job information and CV content available at the time of screening. They may be incomplete or incorrect, especially when a CV is unclear, poorly formatted or missing evidence. Review the original CV before acting.
4. Evidence should be explainable
Each result should show strengths, gaps and supporting CV evidence so a reviewer can understand why a candidate received a score. Results without adequate evidence should be treated as uncertain and checked manually.
5. Fairness checks belong in the hiring process
Customers should regularly review job criteria, screening outcomes and human decisions for unfair patterns. ShortlistLens must not be the only step used to determine whether a candidate progresses.
6. Candidate data must be handled lawfully
Upload CVs only when your organisation has a lawful basis and authority to process them. Follow applicable privacy, employment and equal-opportunity requirements, provide required candidate notices and delete data when it is no longer needed.
7. Product limitations
ShortlistLens does not verify identity, qualifications, employment history, references, right-to-work status or the truth of CV claims. It does not provide legal advice or guarantee a successful hire.
8. Report a concern
To report an inaccurate result, potential bias, privacy concern or misuse, email support@shortlistlens.com with enough information for the team to investigate safely.
